Friends,

If you have an interest in supporting film and the arts, or if you just love watching movies, please consider a contribution to the Kickstarter campaign for Cucalorus Film Festival.  I have been involved with the festival for a number of years (most recently on the Board of Trustees), and I believe it is one of the cultural treasures of our state.  Cucalorus showcases bold, innovative filmmaking with programs dedicated to mainstream feature films, dance, emerging artists, North Carolina filmmakers, social justice, works-in-progress, and global cinema.  The festival has been recognized by MovieMaker Magazine as one of the “25 Coolest Film Festivals” in the world and by the Brooks Institute as one of the “Top Ten Film Festivals” in the U.S.  This year, from November 13th through 17th, the festival will screen more than 200 films and will host 300 filmmakers and artists.   If you would like to attend, passes are on sale at the festival’s website:  http://www.cucalorus.org.

Cucalorus’ Kickstarter page can be found at http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/cucalorus/cucalorus-19?ref=live.

Best,

Jim
